Through more net surfing I stumbled across a post from the blog Web Designer Depot entitled "100 Striking Examples of Grunge Photography". I'm not sure where they've collected all these images from but the post is a great source for alternative photographic images of the grunge persuasion. Whilst a lot of the work would have presumably experience quite a bit of tweaking in post processing, they are extraordinary grunge images.
The textures and play of murky distorted colours mixed with the choice of subject matter create a definite atmosphere and mood to each image, a personality to every photograph.
Here are some of my personal favourites, though I recommend having a look yourselves.
