Experimental and quirky, eclectic, hectic, cheeky... well just plain mental. Flicking through the February 2010 issue of Interview magazine I stumbled across this amazing editorial featuring the model Sasha Pivovarova.
The shoot is so irreverent and stylised that it brings a whole new context to the garments, ranging from Balenciaga to Prada. its a playful pastiche of the elegant with the clumsy, sophisticated tailoring and embellishments of the garments float in the imaginary world of this bizarre creature.
I love the white background adorned in screams of energy with colour and graffiti and the unabashed use of found elements as accessories such as the painted mask in the third image. My favourite though, the acetate eyeballs below...
